Festival 2006 (English)

This is the major event of this year 2006. The stupendous international success of the first International Video Festival of Phnom Penh astonished even the most favourable observers. The international jury, composed of Australian, Canadian, Korean, Sri Lankan and Corsican Judges, faced the greatest difficulties to decide between the films in competition, given the extraordinary quality of the selection.

We have no doubt the success of this festival predicts a tremendous cultural revival in the great khmer city of Phnom-Penh. The energetic and creative thrust of some newcomers may have played a prominent role in this move; congratulations to them and long life to the IVFPP!
